Donkey Kong Country Part #5 - This took longer than I expected. Part #1 of Kremkroc Industries, Inc.
This is game #4 in my series for completing SNES games using an emulator and ROMs.
In part 5 for the game Donkey Kong Country there is trouble in trying to complete these levels, especially Oil Drum Alley!
Overall I would have died at least 5 times in Oil Drum Alley and a few times in the other stages and I try include at least 1 death, sometimes 2 in my videos or the videos would end up a lot longer.
The design for these levels brings out the industrial sort of feel for some, while adding in a lot of extra challenging parts in the levels that require you to be focusing on avoiding areas while jumping from one thing to another, moving platform to another and much more which is the true Retro platformer style.
Raging as an adult is fun, I know I did as a kid but I come back for more torture all the time because I am like that with platformers.
Streamlabs OBS used for recording and setting the scene with SNES font, my avatar and the game picture for what I am playing.
Emulator used: RetroArch
ROMS: They are the games
Saving: Using emulator saving between levels or occasionally in tough parts so I don't always die and repeat so then the game can get completed.

OMG! This brings back so many good memories. This game is such a classic from my childhood that I played for hours daily! Nothing beats finding all of the hidden areas.
Childhood classic for me too!
The hidden areas that are below the level as barrels, especially in the second, those are the hard to find ones haha.
It's funny how hard it is going back to try and play these platform games.
I remember playing Alex the Kidd in miracle world. So many stages and no save option. If you wanted to see the end of the game you had to play from start to finish, without losing all your lives.
It was fun watching you play Donkey Kong.
Thanks for posting.
Alex the Kidd is always fun and yes, those games playing start to finish with no saving are a tough one at times haha.
Glad you enjoyed it, mate. Got lots of Super Nintendo games to play and come yet.
