It really depends on the preferences of the listener. I for example, I am more diverse on genres of music. I love country music as I feel like it brings me to good old days with good old songs. I also love reggae and slow rock and a little bit of pop and acoustic. I think that what makes a person rate a good or bad music/song is when whether it fits on his/her taste or on his/her scope of favorite genre. Some will take on the abstract side of the song like if they feel something into it that only them can feel or understand. There are also songs that have meanings or story inside, which made them a good one for me. Some would prefer how was the song ever written or composed. It's all about preferences. While for the bad one, for me, those are songs that I could hardly comprehend or have annoying background music and composition.
