I was hanging out in Drug Wars Discord last night and overheard someone upset as they were being attacked by high-level players. It's kind of the fact of life, but he then got flagged by another player on Steem in a completely unrelated post.
After speaking with both of them I felt the other player had no justification and was harassing someone much smaller than them. His justification was he was being taunted. When asked for screenshots, he sent a couple that was the smaller player complaining he was attacking smaller players and he doesn't have the guts to pick on someone his own size. After many attacks, he also said "thanks for the shield". None of this I felt warranted him to flag his Steem Monsters post for $0.53 cents.
I went ahead and healed his flag for a bit more than he was flagged and returned the flag on the other party threefold. Unlike @fulltimegeek, I don't like to flag because I'm mad or I don't like someone and only try to use them for spam, abuse, and harassment.
This player is also one of the largest in the game, but not large enough that I couldn't stomp his army.
I decided to actually analyze this battle and some interesting information about it. Before I do that, I'm going to mention there was another ninja change to the rules sometime last night and battles don't act the same way. Before your bouncers would take all damage before other units, apparently that is changed.
In-Game Resources Lost
I lost 1,114,600 weapons and 474,300 alcohol in the fight and the victim lost 2,496,800 weapons and 2,615,100 alcohol. So even though I lost a lot and I gained no resources from it, I came out far ahead in the fight due to the size of my attacking army.
I also went ahead and calculated the loses in terms of Steem if you went ahead and bought troops with Steem.
The fight cost me 107.12 Steem in loses while I inflicted 415.35 Steem in loses. While that was a very successful fight, that's a lot of resources down the drain on both ends. Interesting statistics though.
The fight ended up costing a total of 522.47 Steem in resources.
Either way, keep it in the game!

That is an amazing game.
The only thing that I think that they need to do is a time of 7 days that the same person attack you, because think about that. If I attacked you and know that you don't have any defense, in the next day I will attack you again and again and again...
That is not fair in my point of view.

I agree, it is just a game and there's no reason to flag other players' unrelated posts because of fighting in Drugwars.
That's a lot of alcohol and weapons turned to nothing! I also think that troops are one of the most overpriced things in the game, as most of the other costs are based on the amount of drugs. Since troops don't require drugs, it seems the prices of them are significantly higher in Steem to total resources ratio.
When I first invested in the game, I bought upgrades without checking the amount of Steem spent to the amount of resources saved, which was one of my mistakes.
I got a little bit off topic, but that's one massive fight!

Wow, that is some crazy money right there. I mean I feel like we are getting into the Eve Online territory! :) That is too bad that people have to take things outside the game like that. Personally, I have been getting hammered, but I know that is just part of the game. I just do my best to build up my wharehouses and whatever happens, happens. Since they cut the rewards it isn't like this is going to change my life or anything. Kudos to you for stepping in and doing what you could with your immense power :)

This reminds me of the WoW guy that got arrested because he stalked and threatened with a knife his Ex-Guild leader that banned him from the guild because of his toxic behavior...
I was actually worried that something like this would happen in steem monsters at one point.
Win against the same person who keeps getting randomly matched with you, only to have them take a visit to your profile and flag everything out of spite.
It never happened to me, but I could imagine it happening. So it doesn't surprise me that it's happening in drug wars, but it's also very disappointing.
