It had been raining heavily for the last 8–9 hours—like proper heavy rain that doesn’t pause even for a second. The kind where the sound of raindrops becomes background noise and everything outside gets blurred. Roads disappear under water, trees bend slightly with the weight of it, and even the hills look tired of holding it all in.
Then finally, the rain stopped in the afternoon and this was in the evening.
पिछले 8-9 घंटों से भारी बारिश हो रही थी - बिल्कुल असली भारी बारिश की तरह जो एक सेकंड के लिए भी नहीं रुकती। ऐसी बारिश जिसमें बारिश की बूंदों की आवाज़ पृष्ठभूमि शोर बन जाती है और बाहर सब कुछ धुंधला हो जाता है। सड़कें पानी में डूब जाती हैं, पेड़ पानी के भार से थोड़ा झुक जाते हैं, और पहाड़ियाँ भी इसे रोककर थकी हुई लगती हैं। फिर आखिरकार दोपहर में बारिश रुक गई और यह शाम को हुआ।
The clouds didn’t leave. They just came lower..settling into the valley like they were done moving and now needed rest. You could see them slipping between the hills, slowly creeping around corners.
बादल चले नहीं गए। वे बस नीचे आ गए..घाटी में जाकर बैठ गए जैसे कि उनका चलना बंद हो गया हो और अब उन्हें आराम की ज़रूरत हो। आप उन्हें पहाड़ियों के बीच से फिसलते हुए, धीरे-धीरे कोनों से रेंगते हुए देख सकते थे।
The sky was trying to clear up. The sun was nowhere near fully out, but it was fighting through, creating soft orange and yellow lines between the thick grey clouds.
आसमान साफ होने की कोशिश कर रहा था। सूरज अभी पूरी तरह से नहीं निकला था, लेकिन वह घने भूरे बादलों के बीच से हल्की नारंगी और पीली रेखाएँ बनाते हुए आगे बढ़ रहा था।
The building with the red pointed roof stood tall on the edge. Quiet. Soaked.
लाल नुकीली छत वाली इमारत किनारे पर खड़ी थी। शांत। भीगी हुई।
In the far hills, lights had started turning on. Just a few yellow dots scattered across the view. Everything else was quiet.
दूर पहाड़ियों में रोशनी जलनी शुरू हो गई थी। बस कुछ पीले बिंदु दृश्य में बिखरे हुए थे। बाकी सब कुछ शांत था।
