This looks exciting, but my ancient PC lacks a GPU. I may be looking for a new one soon, but it does not look like a great time to be buying.

Go one step ahead, add TEE (anon) models and let people sell and buy credits with it.
So people can buy credits ( check chutes on TAO) and can use it. Other can sell and make $. Makes a lot of sense with Free transactions and HBD + future Maggi shit.
Some interface for web and is a cashcow ( since people are to retarded to run and research models on their own, 1 marketplace is $$$)
Well i need to add ( in case you dont know those Crypto Ai services), those run on open models and by nature shit with more demand gets more ppl run it and earn more $).
For user credits are competitive cheap and for sellers, they earn with the hardware they have.
Is like mining. Pretty cool and the demand is giant.

I'm glad to see Hive is getting more and more hard for other chains to compete with. Hive AI and other on going projects shows that Hive is never going to be one of the dead chains. It is also nice and, to some extent, necessary to equip and level up Hive Blockchain to current and latest technologies. I would love to see Hive AI be one of the best AI tools available anywhere.

If you can't run it on Windows, it's no good to me. That's true for the mass market. Brilliant to understand that marketing is not profitable if it is directed at techies. They can stand around and admire the work, but they are a very limited audience.

This is a pretty cool idea and in this era of loss of privacy and continual data leaks, along with the rapid advancement of AI decentralized AI makes the same amount of sense as decentralized finance, decentralized social media and now decentralized AI. Each is necessary for the same reason. Centralized systems are corrupt and used to enrich a few at the cost to the many.
