After almost two months away, I'm back! 🎉 🎊 😍 I'm really happy, I missed posting and commenting on Hive and this amazing #needleworkmonday community. Thank you @kattycrochet for asking why I was absent. I appreciate the huge gesture of interest in me.
The reason for my absence was a severe internet problem 😞, which I was able to solve moderately over the weekend and I hope that the solution I got is the right one, otherwise I will have to go back to analyzing options.
During my mandatory vacation from this platform, I did some work and today I bring you this adorable monster.😝
Although the definition of monster is that it has some abnormality improper to the natural order and is scary looking, the monster I knitted is adorable, in one arm it has a bunch of flowers and in the other a little heart.
I have always liked the somewhat strange dolls, that although grotesque have an adorable touch, because in ugliness there is also beauty and vice versa.
And as everything has an intention, the monster is the birthday gift 🎁 of a friend, because I firmly believe that we all have a child inside, eager to play and why not, allow ourselves from time to time to return to be that child that we have never stopped being.
MATERIALS
- Cotton thread in blue, white, black and red colors.
- Crochet needle N° 2
- Anti-allergic stuffing
- Wool needle
- Decorative flowers
BODY. Blue yarn.
I started with a magic ring of 5 chains which I then joined with a slip stitch and began the knitting of half stitches, first row 6 half stitches, second row 12 half stitches, third row one half stitch and an increase, fourth row two half stitches and an increase, fifth row three half stitches and an increase, sixth row four half stitches and an increase, seventh row five half stitches and an increase, from the eighth row to the twenty-third row I knit a half stitch on each chain. Fill in and continue knitting decreasing in the same way I did the increases until I reached a half stitch and a decrease. I closed.
LEGS. There are three. Blue yarn.
I started with a magic ring of 5 chains. Row 1: I knit 6 half stitches. Row 2: I knit 12 half stitches. Rows 3 and 4: I knit one half stitch over each chain. I closed. I stuffed and with the help of a knitting needle I knitted the legs on the lower part of the body.
ARMS. There are two. Blue yarn.
I knit a magic ring of 5 chains. Row 1: I knit 6 half stitches. Row 2: I knit 12 chains. Row 3: I knit three half stitches and one increase. From row 4 to row 17 I knit one stockinette stitch on each chain. I closed without filling. With the help of a knitting needle I joined the arms on each side of the body.
**MOUTH. White yarn. **
On the body and in the 17th row I knit 15 chains and then knit 3 fan stitches, to give shape to the mouth.
THE EYES. There are two of uneven size.
I started with a magic ring of 5 chains. Row 1: I knit 6 half stitches. Row 2: I knit 12 half stitches. Row 3 and 4: I knit one half stitch on each chain. Row 5: I knit two half stitches and a decrease. From Row 6 onwards, I knit a stockinette stitch on each chain, giving it the desired size.
Then with white yarn I knit two ovals with half stitches, one slightly larger than the other. Finally I took black yarn and made two knots at the tip to give shape to the iris of the eye. All the parts were joined together with the help of the wool needle.
HEART. In red yarn.
To give it a touch of color I decided to knit a heart. I started with a magic ring of 4 chains. Row 1: I knit 4 half stitches. Row 2: I knit two half stitches and an increase. Row 3: I knit a single crochet over each chain. Row 4: I knit two stockinette stitches and an increase. Row 4: I knit 6 half stitches (the other 6 half stitches are knitted later), and started decreasing at the ends until closed. I filled in the space of the 6 half stitches that were left unknitted and began the reduction of this part by decreasing at the ends until closed. With the help of the wool needle I joined one arm.
THE FLOWERS
To give it the touch of a gallant monster, I took 3 flowers, joined them to the arm and body through their wire that I introduced into the body, taking it out through the other end and making a small knot.

La razón de mi ausencia fue un problema severo con internet 😞, que pude resolver medianamente el fin de semana y espero que la solución que conseguí sea la correcta, de lo contrario me tocará volver a analizar opciones.
Durante mis vacaciones obligadas de esta plataforma, hice algunos trabajos y hoy les traigo este adorable monstruo. 😝
Aunque la definición de monstruo es que tiene alguna anormalidad impropia del orden natural y es de apariencia temible, el monstruo que tejí es adorable, en un brazo tiene un ramo de flores y en el otro un pequeño corazón.
Siempre me han gustado los muñecos un tanto extraños, que aunque grotescos tengan un toque adorable, pues en la fealdad también hay belleza y viceversa.
Y como todo tiene una intención el monstruo es el regalo de cumpleaños 🎁 de una amiga, pues creo firmemente que todos tenemos un niño por dentro, deseoso de jugar y porque no, permitirnos de vez en cuando volver a ser ese niño que nunca hemos dejado de ser.
MATERIALES
- Hilo algodón colores azul, blanco, negro y rojo.
- Aguja de ganchillo N° 2
- Relleno antialérgico
- Aguja lanera
- Flores decorativas
CUERPO. Hilo azul.
Inicié con un anillo mágico de 5 cadenetas que luego uní con un punto deslizado e inicié el tejido de medio puntos, primera vuelta 6 medio puntos, segunda vuelta 12 medio puntos, tercera vuelta un medio punto y un aumento, cuarta vuelta dos medio puntos y un aumento, quinta vuelta tres medio puntos y un aumento, sexta vuelta cuatro medio puntos y un aumento, séptima vuelta cinco medio puntos y un aumento, a partir de la octava vuelta y hasta la vigésima tercera vuelta tejí un medio punto sobre cada cadeneta. Rellene y continúe tejiendo en forma decreciente de la misma manera en que hice los aumentos hasta llegar a un medio punto y una disminución. Cerré.
PATAS. Son tres. Hilo azul.
Inicié con un anillo mágico de 5 cadenetas. Vuelta 1: tejí 6 medio puntos. Vuelta 2: Tejí 12 medio puntos. Vueltas 3 y 4: Tejí un medio punto sobre cada cadeneta. Cerré. Rellené y con ayuda de una aguja lanera tejí las patas en la parte inferior del cuerpo.
BRAZOS. Son dos. Hilo azul.
Tejí un anillo mágico de 5 cadenetas. Vuelta 1: Tejí 6 medio puntos. Vuelta 2 Tejí 12 cadenetas. Vuelta 3: Tejí tres medio puntos y un aumento. A partir de la vuelta 4 hasta la vuelta 17 tejí un medio punto sobre cada cadeneta. Cerré sin rellenar. Con ayuda de una aguja lanera uní los brazos a cada lado del cuerpo.
BOCA. Hilo blanco.
Sobre el cuerpo y en la vuelta 17 tejí 15 cadenetas y a continuación tejí 3 puntos abanicos, para dar forma a la boca.
LOS OJOS. Son dos de tamaño disparejo.
Inicié con un anillo mágico de 5 cadenetas. Vuelta 1: tejí 6 medio puntos. Vuelta 2: Tejí 12 medio puntos. Vuelta 3 y 4: Tejí un medio punto sobre cada cadeneta. Vuelta 5: Tejí dos medio puntos y una disminución. De la Vuelta 6 en adelante tejí un medio punto sobre cada cadeneta, dándole el tamaño deseado.
A continuación y con hilo blanco tejí dos óvalos con medio puntos, uno ligeramente más grande que el otro. Finalmente tomé hilo negro e hice dos nudos en la punta para dar forma al iris del ojo. Todas las partes fueron unidas con ayuda de la aguja lanera.
CORAZON. En hilo rojo.
Para darle un toque de color decidí tejer un corazón. Inicié con un anillo mágico de 4 cadenetas. Vuelta 1: Tejí 4 medio puntos. Vuelta 2: Tejí dos medio puntos y un aumento. Vuelta 3: Tejí un medio punto sobre cada cadeneta. Vuelta 4: Tejí dos medio puntos y un aumento. Vuelta 4: Tejí 6 medio puntos (los otros 6 medio puntos se tejen después), y comencé a hacer disminuciones en los extremos hasta cerrar. Rellené por el espacio de los 6 medio puntos que quedaron sin tejer e inicié la reducción de esta parte disminuyendo en los extremos hasta cerrar. Con ayuda de la aguja lanera uní a un brazo.
LAS FLORES
Para darle el toque de un monstruo galante, tomé 3 flores, las uní al brazo y cuerpo a través de su alambre que introduje en el cuerpo, sacándolo por otro extremo y haciendo un pequeño nudo.

Me encantó el adorable monstruo, es realmente muy tierno y además romántico y caballeroso.
Hace un tiempo también tejí un monstruo de color verde con tres ojos llamado Robert, fue un diseño de mi hija como regalo para su hermano mayor, a mi me tocó hacer realidad el dibujo; por eso digo que el crochet es mágico. Son infinitas las cosas que podemos hacer con esta habilidad.

Aunque parezca sencillo, crear monstruos es complejo. El único monstruo que tejí fue un libro con ojos y extremidades para el halloweek el año pasado. Justo por esas fechas en Instagram hubo un concurso de monstruos donde no me presenté porque los demás eran muy lindos y coloridos.
Ese es un nicho donde hay mucho por explorar, ya sea con las formas, tamaños, colores y texturas...creatividad por mil, jaja. Me alegra que vuelva y todavía con este personaje tan original.
Es verdad, tejer monstruos es harto dificil, los colores influyen mucho. Esa es la razón por la que le coloqué flores y teji el corazón. Gracias por tus palabras .
