Green trees with hints of fall foliage for @parul2411’s #ThursdayTreeLove

in Amazing Nature3 years ago (edited)

I knew the weather here today in New Hampshire was going to be rainy with a side of wet, so yesterday afternoon I took advantage of some moments of sunshine to wander around in the woods behind our house. While last time for Thursday Tree Love I shared a tree already changing color, here in our yard, which is a mere down the street, around the corner, and up the road a spell away, we have mostly green trees with hints of fall foliage.

I thought it would be cool to get some shots now, and then in a couple of weeks for the next edition of Thursday Tree Love, I can get some comparison shots, similar to what I did last year. Who knows, maybe I'll end up with a big compilation mega post at the end again too!

But before I get on with the pictures, a quick shout out to my WordPress blogging friend Parul to say thank you for hosting this awesome blog hop every couple of weeks. If you want to join in the Tree love blog hop fun, it's wicked easy - here's the description from her latest post today, called #ThursdayTreeLove – 114:

Thursday Tree love is a photo feature hosted on this blog on every 2nd and 4th Thursday of a month. The next edition will go live on September 23, 2021. If you would like to play along, post a picture of a tree on your blog, tell me where did you spot the tree and link it back to this post.

If you don’t see the pingback, please leave a link to your post in my comments section. Please make sure that your post’s link is showing up on this latest edition. I will link your posts on my blog in the next edition and spread some love. Let’s come together to appreciate the beautiful nature around us.

As for these photos, as per my usual FYI - these were taken in the woods next to my Durham, NH home with my Nikon, sometimes using my tripod. All were resized, then cleaned up a bit with PicMonkey - mostly the exposure and sharpness, but with a few other tweaks like vignette filters for the corners here and there.

Now for the photos...

Green trees with hints of fall foliage.

Green trees with hints of fall foliage
1. One of the first things I saw when I got a little ways into the woods was a bit of fall color on the ground...

Green trees with hints of fall foliage
2. ...but try as I might, I couldn't spot the tree it came from, as it was nothing but green above me.

Green trees with hints of fall foliage
3. But what a beautiful jewel tone green it is.

Green trees with hints of fall foliage
4. And brighter green still where the sun was hitting.

Green trees with hints of fall foliage
5. It's kind of hard to make out, but straight back behind the trees in the bottom center of these shot, you can see a bit of our place peeking out, to give you a sense of how far into the woods I was (and hopefully so I remember where I was for next time...lol).

Green trees with hints of fall foliage
6. Green as far as the eye can see...

Green trees with hints of fall foliage
7. ... although if you squint a bit, you might be able to spot a tiny bit of yellow poking out here and there.

Green trees with hints of fall foliage
8. Cool collection of acorn caps - too bad I didn't snag them, because it looks like I could make a killing selling these online!

Green trees with hints of fall foliage
9. More colorful leaves on the ground...

Green trees with hints of fall foliage
10. ... which inadvertently led me to another discovery - here's one of the ghost flowers that I've been searching the woods for forever! I'm pretty confident now that the group I found last time I visited the woods, which was pretty close to this area (picture #38 in that crazy big post), was actually some newly growing ones (which also go by the lovely name of Corpse Plant 😜 ), and I have a bunch of additional photos I took for another post that I'll put together soon. So stinkin' excited about finding these!

Green trees with hints of fall foliage
11. The prettiest leaf so far, so naturally...

Green trees with hints of fall foliage
12. ...I had to take a gazillion pictures of it with the sun shining behind. However, I'm just sharing my one favorite from the bunch.

Green trees with hints of fall foliage
13. But for all the colorful fallen leaves, there are still bunches that are growing close to the ground that are still that brilliant green.

Green trees with hints of fall foliage
14. Not that I'm complaining in the slightest - how could I, with views like this?

Green trees with hints of fall foliage
15. Another single spot of color on the ground...

Green trees with hints of fall foliage
16, ... and another one just starting to turn when it fell.

Green trees with hints of fall foliage
17. I finally spotted some bits of brown and yellow up in the trees.

Green trees with hints of fall foliage
18. Still more green than anything though.

Green trees with hints of fall foliage
19. And maybe it was all the fresh air and sunshine getting to my brain, but doesn't the leaf on the right look a bit like a regal lion's profile? Or maybe even a horse?

Green trees with hints of fall foliage
20. I actually almost skipped including this shot, because I goofed the exposure and the original looked very bland. A little exposure tweak later, and I'm glad I gave it a shot (pun obviously intended...😂 ).

Green trees with hints of fall foliage
21. Pretty soon this will be how most of the trees look.

Green trees with hints of fall foliage
22. But in the meantime, I'll enjoy the pretty green patterns in the leaves, like this one...

Green trees with hints of fall foliage
23. ... and this...

Green trees with hints of fall foliage
24. ...as well as this one...

Green trees with hints of fall foliage
25. ... with a big green finish! I really hope I can get a comparison shot of this one next time (as long as they don't change color as well as fall before I get back out there). Please keep your fingers crossed for me in two weeks!

Hope you enjoyed my photos of green trees with hints of fall foliage. Happy Thursday Tree Love everyone!

What beautiful nature in you! I love your photos 😍

Much appreciate your kind words, @babeltrips - thank you! 😊

Happy Sunday 💚

Yet another awesome piece of work under your hands about how incredible our nature is!

And that's such an awesome thing to say, @crazy-andy - thank you so much! 💚 🤗

Nature is a life for everyone. It can give up us fruit, medicine and vegetables for body.

I completely agree, @phuong.sitha. 🙂

Well done. trees always have something magical about them. Imposing, strong and patient. Wonderful.

Yes, magical is a good word for them, @astrocreator. And thank you so much. 😊

Wow ! Beautiful nature😍

Thank you, @mikamedical. 🙂

Hello @traciyork
Nature is indeed so beautiful!
It's hard to believe there are hints of autumn already, but you've captured those images beautifully to show it.😍
Autumn colours are my favourite:)

Hey, @millycf1976! And yep, I still don't feel like summer truly started, and here we are with the temps starting to dip down here and there. And thank you for your kind words - I love autumn colors as well, and this season is near and dear to my heart on many levels. Hope you're able to enjoy some fall foliage as well! 🍂🍁😍

Thank you @traciyork
We are very much looking forward to experiencing canal life in the Fall. It will be a completely new experience, and we should have a new Multi-fuel stove for a nice fireplace very soon :)
A nice weekend to you 💐

'Horse or regal lion' looks to me more like a crocodile with dragon wings in flight, imagination runs a little wild seeing nature.

Walk through forest enjoying trees to the full, little early for fall colours, not a problem with so many ranges of green to enjoy who is complaining?

Have a wonderful weekend Traci.

Ooo, I like the way your imagination runs @joanstewart! 🐉 🐊 🤩

And I hope you have a wonderful weekend as well, Joan. 🤗

Have fun Traci and keep smiling, yes and walking sharing what you see!

Loving the greenery! It really is wonderful to escape into the woods and forget about everything else, isn't it?

Yes, it's one of my favorite ways of running away from adulting, @beardoin! 😂

@traciyork wow very nice and fresh environment. So many plants, colorful tree leaves and the surrounding environment is very beautiful. You have had a great time in the midst of this amazing nature. I have enjoyed the leaves of the trees and the beautiful environment in your photos. Feeling very good.

@sumaiya777 thank you so much! You are right that I had a great time, and I'm glad you were able to enjoy as well. Hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead! 😊

Welcome dear @traciyork.I really like your weekend blog.👌

It's crazy how the time works. I feel like spring just started and we are already in autumn. Great article and nice pictures :) May I ask if you are using Wordpress? 😊

Unbelievable crazy, @chrislybear, and thank you so much! Yes to both - yes, you may ask, and yes I am using Wordpress...lol! My blogs auto post to the Hive blockchain via the @exxp plugin. Feel free to shout out if you have any other questions! 🤗

That is really awesome! Do you have to edit the mark up language afterwards or can you use the normal editor of WordPress und the plugin does it all?
There is so much to explore on HIVE I love it.

It really is! And nope, the app pretty much does it all - I do have to set the first five tags manually in the app (mostly to make sure the first tag definitely appears first so it goes in the correct community), and if I want to add more than 5 tags I need to edit it on PeakD after it publishes, but other than that it all shows up just like it does on my WP blog. It's wicked awesome! 😊

And yes, after almost four years on the blockchain I'm still finding all kinds of cool stuff I didn't know existed. 😎

I really have to try this out some day. It's really cool to see that it automatically redirects to your other posts of you blog.

Loving the forests around where you live. I hear that region close to Maine is the most heavily forested in the country.

Our leaves are starting to change too, but I think yours are going to turn before mine.

I love nature and you captured it very well in your photos.
The resolution is nice and clear.
Is autumn really coming so early this year? Any season can be enjoyed, but I would like to have some late summer^^.

Your pictures inspire me - maybe I'll write a poem in the near future, we'll see.
I look forward to more posts from you.

Greetings from Germany!

Thank you @hivebuzz! 💛

You're welcome @traciyork, that's a real pleasure to count you as a member since all this time 😊🌹 We hope to see you here for many more years!

@phasewalker, I was actually working on a reply to you on the other comment thread, but I'll answer here first. Yes I saw it, I screencapped it, and you can remove it. Not sure if I should laugh or yell about the extra bit though... 😲😜

I think @spaminator might leave you alone now as well (on your @phasewalker account at least, since you say it's the only one you have). Please, please, PLEASE remember to only share your YT content once, and don't spam as you did before. And thank you for finally verifying.

You are delusional my friend. You started this yourself.
But you did verify yourself, so no more dvs :)

Not gonna remove jack shit. Those downvotes are for you being difficult and making this a bigger shitshow than it needed to be and for calling me an idiot.

Deal it with.

No dv's going forward is what I can offer.

I had set my downvotes to auto-follow people that I trust to downvote appropriately. I no longer see that person on here (and am uncertain if they ever were there), and I have no idea what's going on with this post, so I've removed the downvote.

Cheers.

Don't think you are special. We have worked to deal with many issues. Sometimes content is plagiarised and we remove all their rewards. Sometimes the real owner asks us to. When money is involved then some proof of content ownership is expected. There is no company behind Hive, so the community has to do the work. We are not getting paid for it. We do it because we care about Hive.

You were told some time ago what the issue was and you did not verify yourself. Muting those trying to help you did not help matters. It's so easy to verify yourself and quickly resolve the matter. You have expended far more effort on attacking us.

Your attitude towards Hive will not help. Why should people give you votes if you have no interest in promoting it? There are others who give much more.

You're welcome. Thank you in return for (hopefully) clearing this mess up.

While I can't speak for everyone (as each of us decides what we consider worthy of a downvote beyond plagiarism), I'm fairly certain that if you are no longer spamming your videos, there won't be any further downvotes from any of the names you've mentioned. Feel free to tag me if there are others, and I'll see what I can do about clearing up any residual issues.
