Oh, deer! 🦌

Needless to say (and yet I'm saying it), pun intended. 😊

We had some awesome visitors to our Durham NH yard yesterday afternoon, just before hubby and I left to pick up @cailliyork's birthday cake. She's actually the one who noticed - she'd come into our room to chat about our dinner game plan, then looked out the window and said in a wicked loud voice and almost scared them away whispered, "There's some deer right outside!"

I grabbed my camera, hubby grabbed his smart phone, and Cailli passed me my tripod (no way I can get a clear shot these days without it, given how much my right hand has been shaking). We stood at the window for a good ten minutes, snapping pictures, taking video (hubby), and talking about what we imagined they were saying to each other. While I don't have the video handy (which is just as well, because I may have said a few ridiculous things, not knowing hubby was recording...LOL!), I do have a bunch of snaps.

There were five or six deer that we could see, but the three in these photos are the only ones I got clear shots of (the others were hanging back in the cover of the woods). Even though I'm just guessing, I'm pretty sure this is a family group with a dad, mom, and youngster.
