I know it's not Thursday for Throwback Thursday's, but we're close enough...it's tomorrow. However, today was a packing and sorting out day. I (Sam) had to sort out what I needed to take back to England, what I can keep here in Thailand and what I want to give away to charity. Since I was already in the mood of cleaning and clearing out; I decided to have a look on my laptop to see what I can keep and what I could delete. Among the videos (which take up a lot of GB), I found a video I made of our Eurotrip two years ago. This was an inter-railing trip Becca and I did around central Europe for 10 days/12 days. We knew we were leaving Europe for Asia back then and thus decided to max out on our European journey by visiting six countries over twelve days, but ten of them were on the restricted 'five journeys in ten days' Interrail train tickets. Back then, we did not know how long we would be away from Europe for, but now we know it was only for two years.
We flew into Budapest, Hungary with Ryanair from London. Luckily, since Becca was still working for Hilton, we stayed at Hilton hotels for three out of the six destinations as the staff rates were on offer. We traveled from Budapest to Vienna via Bratislava (for the day - 4-5 hour stopover), then from Vienna to Prague, Prague to Berlin, Berlin to Amsterdam, Amsterdam to Brussels and finally Brussels to London on the Eurostar (which is not part of the Interrail tickets).
We were meant to do a blog series about our journey through these different destinations earlier in the year on Steemit, but we never came around to writing about it. Maybe in the future, but for now, please enjoy the video :)
This is us, two years ago, I think we have both changed a lot since then. Becca and I went the opposite ways, she got slimmer and I got fatter! Blame it on the good Thai food I have been having out here for the past two years!
