Steemit, Inc. dropped a bomb late last year (2018) by saying that they were laying off 70% of their staff.
I feel that this was a turning point in peoples' opinion of Steem.
It was the straw that broke the camel's back -- as my friend said when he was telling me about it.
The media picked this up and it seems that the conversation about Steem is still negative and people think that this blockchain is all downhill.
What they don't realize is that where Steemit, Inc. failed, the community succeeded... More than succeeded -- thrived.
The community is stronger than ever and now it seems that Steemit itself is getting a little stronger as well.
The future looks bright once again!
