The million dollar deal

They didn't know I was watching, and you all talk about money a lot. So here goes. $25,000 in premiums in advance. $10,000 to the provider, $8,000 to the agency (me) and $7,000 to the agent. $7,000 was more like $7,200.00 But those were the ratios. That's what it cost to get a million dollars in coverage.

My agency had hierarchy in place, so you didn't see these numbers unless you were a qualified marketing director, level 17; which is why I did not receive this kind of money.

I once saw a pastor from Louisiana sell coverage to a pastor from northwest, central Georgia for $15,000.00 He was $10,000.00 short. He stood to gain $700 instead of $7,000.00 after underwriting. He went back to northwest Georgia and got the rest of the money. His cut, $7,200.00

Hierarchy wise he barely made level 17. He was new to the company. There was some red tape. But the agency issued two checks, $3,600 apiece. He had to wait almost two weeks for his share, you know? Like paychecks.
