Do you believe that on content earning sites, that it is fair that a Reader can get paid more then the Content Creator?

When you create content on this platform the way you earn is by a reader tipping the author on a scale of 20-100%. Here both Author & Reader are rewarded. On this site it is most common that the Author gets tipped at 20% and the reader takes everything else, that would be 80% earnings from content that isn't theirs.
I myself do not believe that this is fair. I do not think that readers should get more than the Author ever! I think that a reader should get between 20-50% and no more!
I was on Publish0x's telegram channel talking with 5 members and 4 of the 5 members, one being the CEO disagreed with me, only the one agreed and said they never tip the Author less then 60%.
I am not sure that this system is fair to the Author because of the time and effort made in the creation of the content.

How would that be fair? I do not even understand why the readers get paid for reading the article. It is sounds like a scam. No quality content author should publish their content on such a website.
If the article is quality content, very detailed, informative and educational, so the readers can learn (or improve) a skill and knowledge, then the readers should be happy that they can read that for free.
I thought so too, this is why I created this question. How they think this is OK, is unknown to me! I don't mind if the reader gets rewarded 1-10% of the earnings because they do take the time to read, and give feedback or comments but I think this platform is using Content creators like Facebook does!

U can create a masterpiece...if u have no people to appreciate it...where is the value? Ass whipping?
You know this is what Facebook does, take advantage of the content creator. With no content there would be no reader.... The reader just reads, but the content creator creates a masterpiece as you have said, and that takes work. This would be like an employee making more then the company itself! Not fair at all!

I believe that the author should get paid more. The author spends hours just to write a single great article, and then somebody who has a whopping amount of stake and who spend 5 seconds to upvote a post gets more rewards for curating than the one being curated, which I believe is really unfair.
I do not mean however that readers should not get rewarded, because they have also spent time reading the post and/or invested on stake.
