Morning Read: Practical Mind-Reading (William Walker Atkinson)

in Freewriterslast month

I’m teaching myself to read insanely fast. To do so, I skim through several books each day.

This morning, I picked up a book by William Walker Atkinson, who argued that human beings are innately endowed with the ability to communicate telepathically.

Here are the excerpts I found most intriguing:

Thoughts set molecular processes in motion within the brain.

Camille Flammarion, the French astronomer and author, believed wholeheartedly that humans are innately endowed with the ability to transmit thoughts at a distance, without any visible means of communication.

He used the telephone as an analogy, suggesting that thoughts influence the aether and can be transmitted instantaneously, provided the receiver is attuned to the same vibrational level as the sender.

The nature of the thoughts one entertains shapes chemical activity within the brain and sets molecules into motion, thereby opening the door to a spectrum of possibilities, both constructive and destructive.

Physical contact is a medium through which one’s vibrations, magnetism ("Vril"), emotions, and thoughts are conveyed.

That is why we can often sense a person’s inner state without a word being spoken.

It all comes down to being mindful of the thoughts we entertain. There is great power in often overlooked forces, such as spoken words and imagination.
