So, this place is in Nimman, Chiang Mai, and it's quite close to our dispensary, The Spot. This place is somewhat hidden on the other side of the busy area, so I would also call it a hidden gem.
From the outside, the place looks quite cool but still simple. However, once you walk in, you get a whole different feeling with all the anime decorations, almost as if you're dining in a restaurant in Japan. The anime decorations feature characters we used to know when we were young. There are a few games you can play at the table, and even some mascot masks for you to put on—perhaps for photos, although I'm not sure if it's worth sharing with others, so I didn't try it.
Now, let's talk about the curry itself. They offer a base curry to which you can add some meat, cheese, and other stuff. I chose something very basic: pork tonkatsu. My friend, however, went with an omelette, some meat (which I'm not sure what it was), hot dogs, and then added some more cheese, making it look quite crazy. The curry itself tastes pretty good.
The ambiance is also quite unique. I don't really see many places with this kind of decoration. The price is reasonable too. I think we paid less than 200 THB (6USD) per person for all this food that I almost couldn't finish. Compared to other curry places, it's quite reasonable.
The location is also good. Not too crowded and not noisy from the outside, making it a very good place for a friendly catch-up or even an unconventional date. You should totally come check this place out if you're looking for something a bit different.
