Alright, so, this update is probably enough for like 10 dev logs, but im going to summarize it in one, so as to clean up my desktop of all the screen shots. I guess I will just write in order that stuff happened.

I went to chicago for a visit and while I was there, Canaan cooked.
He...
- upgraded the physics to make them way more realistic
added a way better outline shader to expose more detail in the artwork,
- chopped the world up into seperate scenes,
- added a fast travel system to the world via bus stops,
- added a Map salesman,
- added manuals,
- and added a balance bar to manuals and grinds.
- he also made it so you hold a direction to do specific grinds.
I was stoked to come home to all this, it felt like christmas.

I have no idea how he did it, but he split gnarworld into separate scenes so we can work on separate scenes remotely, plus we can load one of them at a time.

That godot face texture is actually the UV of a 3d shape that covers up the area of the map until you buy a map of that area from the cat man.

i also fixed the players arms and made them bend downward instead of up when he ollies

I wanted to experiment with stable diffusion and add it to the game but i think we are not going to include any AI assets.
oh, yeah there is a Rat enemy now.
| rat1 | rat2 |

the rat is hard to see in-game, i drew him too realistic.
there is also now a boss Fight. a rat boss
I kinda used king K rool as inspo on the rat boss.

The rat boss fight is sick. you knock a mousetrap onto the path and it snaps him and damages him. ill show it soon in a devlog i dont think its done yet .

Boneless (not in game yet)

i found a burning prius by the skatepark in the sewer district.

I was so stoked how much canaan worked on the game i wanted to show my appreciation by making bus stops for each fast travel point.

i cant wait till these go into the game and i kinda want canaan to decide where they go for fun. its fun working on a game with someone else and adding to the world, surprising each other what we made.

I'm sidequesting- working on a mini FPS project for my new art website. but i am very stoked to get back to gnar world. new stuff on the trello. lets get this game to the finish line!!
Crucial gnar world update and much of it not done by me! so its time to COOOK i lOVE making these dev updates because they get so SO STOKED to keep working on the game!! LFGGGG

Man, that's crazy! It looks like a Tony Hawks game with a bit of God of War thrown in, haha. I think it's really cool! The development must be hard work, but at the same time it must be fun to see everything taking shape! Really cool!
thanks for the comment! its long work. huge learning process. one step at a time
Slowly but surely, we'll get there! Cheers
