I remember those precious moments going to the cinema and the screen would be concealed behind a curtain.
The sense of anticipation was heightened and the expectation at its maximum.
Same goes for the theater when the audience is ready to receive the spectacle, once the curtain is unfolded.
In the movie we have seen almost transparent curtains like in Hitchcock's Psycho that allows you to be at the same time inside and outside.
Once the curtain opened, as a spectator we should not only look at the spectacle made out of whatever media, but look further if you want to discern the significance of a work.
