Today I'm in Sicily for a work trip, I toke this opportunity to visit the City where I am: Ragusa.
It was the first time I came here and I discovered a very beautiful and warm place the perfect place to spend a relaxing vacation.
It is a very particular Italian town, located in the central part of the Sicilian island, very close to the coast where Marina di Ragusa is located.
This part of the island is very southern, facing Africa and is characterized by a very hot and dry climate.
Now at the end of June the temperatures touch the 40° C, the climate is very dry for which the perceived temperature is smaller than that one that would be in the city.
We left the airport in a beautiful JEEP Ranegade that took us to the hotel.
The hotel where we are staying is wonderful, a surprise in the middle of nowhere; it's called Hotel Poggio del Sole and it's located a few kilometers from the coast and from the city center.
We had lunch in an excellent restaurant on the beach called "donna Lina" which offered us light dishes perfect for this tropical climate.
(I love fish, and they do it really well here!)
Then we went to visit two very nice beaches, that of Marina di Ragusa and that of Donnalucata; I recommend especially the second one: less touristy, without too many people and with a fantastic water.
I found another friend on my way.... :D
It's hot and so I'll end this beautiful afternoon in the hotel pool, I want to relax to the maximum because from tomorrow I'll expect many days of hard work!
Travelling is a fantastic thing and it's nice to do it while working! See you at the next trip!
