There are just a few hours left before the first day of the sixth month of the year comes to an end. And here we are on the first day of the last month of the first half of the year.
Anyone who read my previous post on this same topic—where I provide a monthly recap, the goals I’ve achieved, and the goals I’d like to reach—knows that since the first day of this year, I’ve been planning to set up an automatic investment program with weekly purchases of a specific amount in ETFs.
This past month, I finally managed to do it. I opened an account on one of the various online investment platforms and transferred a specific amount there. Right away, I started earning automatically, as I’m getting over a 2% return just for having that amount in my portfolio, even though it’s not actively invested. It’s certainly a better option than what traditional banks offer.
If the Portuguese and global banking systems fail to adapt to new financial challenges, it is very likely that they will become systems used only by those who are not looking to maximize the return on their assets.
These days, the monthly fees we pay just for having a bank account are absolutely outrageous. These days, I make my payments almost exclusively at retail locations and online through Curve, which is linked to another main account on Crypto.com. You’re all already familiar with the cashback program using the CRO token for purchases made with that card.
At the moment, I still don’t have any fees on transfers to international bank accounts, so in practice, I pay nothing with my Portuguese bank account card. It’s basically just for receiving my monthly salary.
That said, I’ll move on to the main topic of this post!
This month I FINALLY reached 20,000 accumulated HIVE! 🤩
I think that in itself is a good reason to celebrate. I hope the next milestone—which for me is 25K—comes before the end of the year!
This month, I saw an 18.13% increase in my accumulated Hive, and I also managed to gain about 0.24 reputation points and attract two more followers.
How about you all—how did you spend this month? How do you view the recent decline in Hive’s value? I might buy some Hive if the price drops below $0.055, but I’ll admit that even though I’m betting on this project, seeing the price drift further and further away from the dollar makes me a bit apprehensive about the project itself and its future.
Let’s hope, however, that the project manages to find a foothold and doesn’t sink further, as it has been doing over the past four years.
