It's a somewhat disturbing title, but when I put a large lace cloth on the panel, it was fixed. And when I searched, the word "collapse of three-dimensional manifold" came out, and I thought it looked interesting. I don't know any mathematics, including geometry, but I used to study it a lot. Some artists use mathematics to faithfully represent graphs, curves, and curved surfaces, but this is not the case with me, it's just a fancy idea or a delusion. But I want to incorporate nature and natural science into my work.

「幾何学の崩壊」

何やら不穏なタイトルですが、大きなレースの布をパネルに貼り合わせた時にこのタイトルが確定しました。そして検索してみたら「3次元多様体の崩壊」という言葉が出てきて、面白そうだなと思いました。幾何学を含む数学はさっぱり出来ませんが昔はよく勉強しました。美術家の中には数学を元にそのグラフや曲線・曲面などを忠実に表す方もいらっしゃるのですが私の場合はそうではなく、思いつきというか妄想だけです。でも作品に自然や自然科学を自分なりに取り入れたいとは思います。
