"Hang Down"

This work is based on the theme of (slime mold). Myxomycetes are unicellular organisms, but they are mysterious creatures with a combination of the animal aspect, which greatly changes their shape, and the plant aspect, which produces spores that germinate and grow. The theme is concrete, but when I look at the form, it looks abstract, so it was interesting to draw. There seems to be a lot of research on deformans. I may have seen it in a mountain somewhere before, but I haven't seen it for several years, so I would like to see it again.

「たれ下がる」
ミクストメディア、14x18cm、2020
これは変形菌（粘菌）をテーマに描いた作品です。変形菌は単細胞生物でありながら、その形を大きく変化させていく動物的な面と、胞子を作って発芽して増えるという植物的な面を合わせもった不思議な生物です。テーマとしては具象なんですが、その形態を見ると抽象的にも見えてくるので、描いていて面白かったです。変形菌については色々な研究がなされているようですね。私は昔どこかの山で見たかもしれないですがここ数年は見たことがないので、また見てみたいです。
