Le Voyage de Gulliver à Lilliput et chez les géants (1902).
This short film by Georges Méliès, unfortunately, has come to us incomplete. But what we have, allows us to appreciate the fantasy and the grotesque character (almost always present in Méliès' works) of the work.
Some may be surprised to see the film with color. This is another invention of Méliès; the film was spread on very long tables and hand-colored frame by frame.
Perhaps one day, as sometimes happens with Geoges Méliès, a complete reel of this beautiful film will be found in some old warehouse or in some forgotten trunk.

Questo breve film di Georges Méliès, purtroppo è giunto fino a noi incompleto. Ma quello che abbiamo, ci permette di apprezzare la fantasia ed il carattere grottesco (quasi sempre presente nei lavori di Méliès) dell'opera.
Qualcuno potrà stupirsi nel vedere la pellicola con il colore. Questa è un'altra invenzione di Méliès; la pellicola veniva stesa su tavoli lunghissimi e colorata a mano fotogramma per fotogramma.
Forse un giorno, come ogni tanto capita con Geoges Méliès, in qualche vecchio deposito o in qualche baule dimenticato si troverà una bobina completa di questo bellissimo film.
