Hello, tasteemers!
Welcome to the 18th edition of Kim's Taste! This week's edition of All About Noodles leads me to venture on a cheap ramen place at Jcentre Mall. Since I don't have money yet, I have to find a place where I could have ramen for less than Php 100.00. Good thing I found 99 Ramen in Food Central at Jcentre Mall.

Remember: If you happen to be in one of the restaurants in my review, we might have different preferences, as well as experiences, so our ratings might not be exactly the same. As always, this review is exclusive for @tasteem.

Let's dig further with what 99 Ramen has to offer.

I ordered Spicy Ramen and Gyoza because I was really famished. Let's start with the ramen.
Disclaimer: This is my personal experience at that time. I'm not generalizing the whole place.

The ramen was really bland. So far, it was the worst ramen I've tried. It's not even spicy as claimed. I had extra meat as an addition for Php 15.00 and it was awful. I would not order that ramen again.

In fairness to the store, I asked for pepper just to have an added taste to the ramen. I doused the whole bowl with pepper just to have a little kick. The noodles were properly cooked, it was just bland.

The redeeming factor was the fried gyoza. It was juicy and tasty. I guess it's just right given the price that was set.
I guess that's all for my review. Please don't hesitate to comment anything that you want to express! Also, thank you in advance for showing some love by upvoting this post!

See you in my next review!

Hi @ybanezkim26! I also tried this noodle shop at Talamban. It was really cheap compared to other ramen shops but the taste was still great. I'm curious how the gyoza tasted. Might want to try it someday. Thanks for sharing! 😊
It actually tastes great. I thought it would be dry, but it's not. It's juicy. Maybe because it was fried, the moisture was locked inside.
Thanks for stopping by, @wandergirl!
Wow. I'm getting hungry already. 🤣

That's actually cheap for ramen. The bowl here costs like around 250 php and above. Thanks for sharing this lovely review
True! Premium ramen would cost Php 400 or above. But I'm willing to spend for a bowl if the quality is good.
