We have been working hard for these last 14 days
Would like to keep you informed regarding our development process. If you have not followed our last posts, we are developing both Android and iOS Apps for Steemit simultaneously. We are making the most comfortable Application for posting content on Steemit. I always have my phone or tablet with me and as soon as I get an idea what to write about I want to have an application where I can do that comfortably. I want Seamless writing experience for posting content on Steemit.
In later versions, we will make the best feed viewing and commenting experience. We are hoping to get your support and feedback to make our App best for you.
So far our first version design is finished and I am happy to demonstrate it to you:
Overall design of iOS Application
1. First step - Posting Screen
In this screen we have tried to simplify posting with easy keyboard controls for making text bold, italic, making lists, pasting images, etc. Press list button and you can switch from bullet list to numbered list. Right there on the keyboard without having to switch to other buttons. Swipe down and keyboard is hidden for easy preview of your content.
2. Second Step - Adding Tags
Should be easy enough to understand how to add and delete tags from the first glance.
3. Third Step - Choosing Rewards
On this screen, you can choose the Rewards for your post and you will have an option to upvote your own post.
Right now our developers are working hard to make all this design actually function well. Our designer is continuing to work on next versions. If you have any comments or advice you are more than welcome to write to us.

First off, the idea of using a keyboard that supports various formats is great. At its core - Steemit is an environment people have pride in posting quality content. Giving content creators the tools to post appealing posts is so important.

We will be making notifications about own mentions, transfers, upvotes, replies etc. Good Idea about favorite Authors, too. Will add that to the list.
Wanted to ask about suggested friend list. Do you mean something like searching your contacts for possible friends on Steemit or Friend list based on your interests?
Friend List based on interest . This way Steemians cam easily find content or other Steemians that share the same interest. More like a Pinterest vibe mixed with Tumblr. Example...Pinterest send a notification saying based on your pins(post) or content repinned these Post/Boards/accounts may interest you.
Currently on STEEM I'm have to dig deeeeep for quality content that interest me the most and Authors I want to support blogs or .... but I don't have a buddy list easily accessible to . Hopefully your app can fix this issue .

whenever i pitch steemit to my friends they all point to the issue of not having an app for steemit.

It's even hard to imagine if this tool falls into the hands of @papa-pepper. It will once again blow up SteemIt. Posts and pictures will be released in 5 minutes directly from the phone. LOL. Everyone will read only @papa-pepper !! :-)))))
I think @papa-pepper will be able to give many valuable tips for you to develop the application. He knows how to write well and much. Potentially, the application will be able to get rid you of most of the routine work of transferring material and photos to the computer and will allow you to post directly from the scene. Cool!

Excellent idea @dubvdave, once the app is released we will make such a tag and will monitor it. Something like #steemappbugs
With the app, i want to be able to schedule posts, just like wordpress.
This is an important feature and we are planning to add it to the App, not in the first release, but probably in the second already. We also want to add footer templates for those who like to add footers to their posts.
I'll be trying this out and compare it with eSteem. Looking forward to this, so we can post on-the-go.

@tamala, please check back in 2-3 weeks. This app is not released, yet. Right now we want to get feedback about features which people would like to see in this app and to keep them informed about our updates.

Hey that looks like a well thought through app. Will you take beneficiary rewards for posting with it?
Thank you for the compliment, we really did put a lot of thought in it. It is easy to make the app difficult, but it is much harder to make it simple and easy to use ))). Yes, we are planning on taking beneficiary rewards, but it will be very small. We want this project to continue growing and extending with a lot of delightful features, but we don't want people paying a fortune for it.
Absolutely can't wait. This already looks pretty far along, and something like this is so necessary for wider adoption!

It is not available in the AppStore yet. It is now in private beta testing mode. At the moment the list of beta testers is full and Apple is not allowing us to add more testers. You can send us your email and we will add you as soon as we can.
Hey @yuriks2000, curious to know if there's a way to post images into your posts from the app? Thanks again for allowing me to test the app and for all the hard work you and the team have put into this.
Yes, you can add images using the app. Tried it many times myself. Want to make support for videos in the future, too.
