"Quid Pro Joe" indeed @zyx066 ... While we come from very different perspectives on all of this, my friend, from mine the Democratic Party establishment sees Uncle Bernie as a threat to them! That just won't work ...
So ... They'll hold their nose and float all of their crap out there about supposedly being in support of Uncle Joe, knowing he doesn't have a snowball's chance in a very hot place to win in November (barring some extraordinary "equalizer" event ...). But ... At least they will be safe! And that is really all many, many of the ruling class ultimately care about - Democrats and Republicans (yes, I said it ...) alike!
Back to see what happens tonight, but not looking good for Uncle Bernie, even though I still want him to win. The Democratic nomination ... 😉
Thanks for stopping by and leaving this wonderful comment my friend :-) Looks like we're heading for a Biden candidacy, unfortunately... I've said it often: the real fight is not between the so called right and the so called left; it's between the people and the establishment, it's always been the class war that's inherent in capitalism, feudalism, slavery and all other variations we've ever had. They're all essentially the same as in all of them there's a tiny group that controls capital, the means of production, and the rest do not and have no power.
Joe's track record and resume doesn't matter to a lot of voters out there. Their intense hatred for Trump would have them voting for a leader of ISIS over Trump. I predict the same result as 2016 but with far more entertaining debates.
I'm afraid you're right. And even if a miracle happens and Biden wins against Trump, there's no change at all; that's actually what he's running on... Thanks so much for stopping by my friend! :-)
well, when the USA leaders swap out from R to D, i have never really noticed much of an overall change to anything in my lifetime. Maybe a "tweak" here and there but mostly it's just same S**T different a-hole!
Indeed; and it's the same over here in The Netherlands... Economic and foreign policy stay the same, there are only "cosmetic" differences around the edges. I like that saying you used at the end there about the a-hole (never heard that one before) :-) Thanks so much for stopping by!
