为了学生工的工资，IT办公室由我出马跑这种项目。今天下午到护士学校洽谈她们想要开发的模拟系统。
工程院与护士院之间有不到一点五英里的距离。为了锻炼身体，决定走个过去。
要说这人啊，真是越进化就越退化。记得在上本科的时候在新泽西理工学院NJIT，不想住纽瓦克，在邻近的镇子租了公寓。到学校要步行三十分钟左右。同时在纽约打工做Perl Programmer，二十分钟走到火车站，坐火车都麦迪逊广场，在走一刻钟到花园大道。每天都在三个地方不停的走。
而现在，虽然在高原，虽然要上下坡。但是一趟下去就气喘续续足以证明真要锻炼了。
学校经费削减，护士院咬着牙节省开销，要我们帮他们便宜做一个软件。能帮忙就帮忙吧。反正我们要得也不多，能给我们的intern发工资就行了。
今天在商量服务器架设在哪里的时候，我提议免费帮她们架设到我们的数据中心中。
她们的IT说她们自己有server room，里面有两个机架安装的服务器，两个都是Windows Server 2012 R2，可以用一个开发软件。
“喔…”听完之后我无法做更多的反映。
“你们有什么基础设施？”她们的IT问我。
“我们有两套系统。一套是slurm/Jupyter Notebook管理的HPC，另一套也就是原先设想帮你们架设服务器的地方。VMware的cluster。三十个Gen 10的blade 10T内存，60T 3PAR storage。VEEAM远程备份到校IT的思科UCS。平时最少同时管理4000 VMs吧。”
“哦…”这次改她们的IT哦了,“那服务器还是架你们那边吧…”
