I always said that I would vote for a fund on which the HBD assigned will pay a good advertisement team in order to promote HIVE.
We are risking being invisible.

Is there a specific hashtag for that? Like "promote-hive" or something? That you know of?

Maybe...but I don't know, honestly

Anybody else who thinks the same? We could start a club. 🤣 Sounds funny, but I'm serious. Guess we'd better call it a 'working group'. 😉

In short, NOPE! It's the danger of decentralization, everyone is going in a bunch of different directions without really mastering anything.

STEEM had 4 years and did nothing with it.

HIVE is much newer but the competition is much greater. We need a little centralization to get things done.

The sad thing about STEEM is that it had a chance to perhaps make the social media aspect work for a small window, but they (steemit, inc) didn't even really try to, perhaps they knew it wouldn't?! However, it was pretty clear before the defi explosion now that people wanted returns, they wanted yield on their investment, and instead of embracing that we continued to jam the square peg into the proverbial round hole of 'quality content' keeping most of the investment dollars out... sigh...

I don’t agree about centralization. In fact, I’m radically opposed to centralization. But if you mean some sort of decentralized organization, I could go along with that. And that’s what we’ve got work proposals for. Of course, one’s got to do some politicking, get a campaign going, and get support. Some key ideas that are feasible are prerequisite, but, hey, why not?

I never liked STEEM’s long term prospects due to the ninja mine, Ned, and all that whirled around both. We were always under the threat that he would do something stupid, and he finally did. As luck would have it however, it was the best thing that ever happened to the community. The community threw off a ball that was chained around its neck, and only had to change the name. Actually, it also turned out fairly profitable for most, but the main thing was not having your future mortgaged anymore. HIVE was now free to be everything that could only be dreamed about before! And even if we hadn’t had all those negatives, I don’t think they had the slightest idea about what really needed to be done either.

Those getting involved in DeFi don’t have a clue either about what they’re getting into. They’re going to learn though, the hard way. The smart money will stay put.

I’m invested in HIVE, not wHIVE, not anything else. It’s HIVE. And it’s powered up! No doubt. And I calculate I’m getting around a total ROI of 15-20% a year as well as owning a potential 1,000x. I challenge everyone to wrap their heads around that. (Note: I didn’t use ARP because only part of what we’re making is interest. 😉)

Well in the business world there is a reason that the corporate structure is the way that it is. Sure there could be some redundancies, and some more than others, however, there needs to be some serious structure and hierarchy in order to really get anything done. Vitalik Buterin himself recently tweeted that the ideal crypto structure for a project is centralized at first while building initially and then exit stage left to community. There is often a trade off between centralized and speed. IE the less centralized the slower things tend to move.

Sounds pretty communist to me. 😜
