Today’s verse Congress from a time in King David’s life when he was being chased, running for his life, and a wanted man.
Have you had times like that. Are you having that experience now? Many not literally being hunted down, like David was, but we are all chased by anxiety, bills, lovers, family, grades, social pressure, and a million other things. Every experience this where there seems to be no escape and no tomorrow? For some people it’s just another day. For others, it’s the worst day in their lives (or days, months, and even years).
So what can we do to bring an end to this terrible situation? One solution, the one that David found was to take refuge in the Lord. Whenever you call on Him, trust him, or love Him, you are safe.
I’d you haven’t tried it, you should. What do you have to lose? But don’t be like the mustard seed that falls in the shallow soil.
