[It’s still pretty early and I’ve already gotten a decent start on my post, at least got the skeleton more or less done, and yet I still feel like I’m in a rush. Need to get my post done and prepare for class today (hopefully) in time to watch some of the game…]
Got to sleep shortly past ten last night, so a bit later than I have been, and was up several times in the night. Although I did make it “through the night” in bed, I was up twenty minutes before six and didn’t really want to be. 😢 That put me about an hour and a half short on sleep, and while I didn’t crash out and even went for a walk, it’s taking its toll already.
Not a whole lot going on during the morning routine. Cryptos are still looking alright with a slight uptrend, but nothing major at this point…I think everyone’s just holding their breath waiting for the next big VC or market maker to reveal their overexposure to FTX and/or Alameda.
I listened to a couple “interviews” with Coffeezilla and SBF. Just whole lot of “ums” and “embarrassing mistakes”…like tens of billions of dollars is just an accounting oversight. 😡 It also sounds like he’s saying that FTX could risk margin accounts (or at least the language was looser), but customer funds were explicitly not according to their T&C, so there’s definitely some fraud going on (seems like in multiple places…he valued the assets on amounts of FTT that if sold would crash the market and would never be worth the amount he valued them at - he said he “misjudged the margin” and “overestimated.”). I’m glad I never got involved with that!!!
Otherwise, token shifting, curation, chat on Discord, and then (after caffeine kicks in) get to work on my post. Got a decent one done and shared on time and we headed into town to do the weekly grocery shopping.
Unreal! Simply unreal. We didn’t need much meat and we had a bunch of coupons and didn’t get any odd stuff to push us over, so even though we got extra drinks to qualify for the coupons, for the first time in ages we got out under a hundred dollars! 😯😁👍 In fact, we were even under seventy this time. 🥳
Got home, got everything put away (which didn’t take very long at all), got my usual sandwich for lunch and then dinked around online for a bit. Wenche was still in cleaning mode, but it was nice out (well sunny anyway) and it had been a long time since the dog got out for a good walk, so I decided to take him to run around the nature trail. We put in a solid five kilometers plus! 💪
It was a bit chilly, especially with the wind 💨, but it was clear skies and the dog kept a good pace (and I tried to keep up with him), particularly on the home stretch…he can still run, that’s for sure (can’t really say the same for myself).
I was surprised by how thin the ice was on the pond…no way I would have tried to step on it! I even saw some fishies underneath. 😁 I would have thought it would freeze harder than the lake…but then again, probably thaw quicker as well.
I did start studying some more for Tuesday’s calculus class, but pretty much just plopped in front of the tube for the rest of the day. There were two games on today, but being Sunday in America, it was football 🏈 all day instead. 🤬 We watched two movies, but now that I try to recall what they were I’m at loss on the first one. To be fair, I was only half paying attention…oh, wait! It was R.I.P.D.2, was ok, but like I said I wasn’t rightly watching.
WOO got added to TipCC! That’s pretty awesome news and means that it’s tippable across all servers that use the bot (which is lots). 🤑 Booker pinged and there was a WOO trivia. I did moderately well as far as being correct or not, but I did awesome as far as earning some more tokens. 🤑🤑😁 Increased my WOO balance by about fifty percent! 😮 Hopefully that will help raise my stake rewards as well. 😁
Wenche made us chicken and salad and rice for dinner and we watched another movie: The School of Good and Evil. The girl power was oozing from this one, but it was moderately entertaining and it at least had more magic than like the entire Harry Potter series. 😛
After that we put on the last season of Superstore until another fairly late bedtime.
At this point, I guess the only way that dShitty could get any shittier would be for them not to pay out anything at all…oh! Good form, dShitty, good form. You never disappoint.
I remembered to go in a second time on Rising Star today and my Ego was at one percent so I ran a lesson. That’s got me back down to zero and back to missions again.
Not sure when I’m going to deal with HashKings…not sure if I really even care any more beyond trying to recoup my original capital outlay.
I can say, at least, that my Splinterlands rental income is moving in the right direction…up by a whole ten cents today to a dollar eighty. 😮 I guess I should finally sell the rest of the DEC I pulled out (for whatever price) for the Dungeon Master season pass. 🤔 Getting one game to pay for another isn’t a terrible strategy, I don’t think.
Claimed my SPS interest for the day and paid the rental fee out of it as usual. Still got the hundred plus I pulled out the other day sitting on the market, so just been staking the rest for now.
