I spent the entire day today drawing, sketching and painting only cats. Infact, that is how I fell asleep now that I am talking about it :D While painting fur/animal hair can be a pain in the ass, (if done patiently) it can also be very rewarding to look at. It is also a good practice for brush pressure control and hand motion. I have to admit that when I was painting the head, the repeated motion felt kinda pointless and annoying after a while. And I had to take a short break so that I look at something else and come back with a fresh eye.
But when looked as a bigger picture (literally) it all makes sense. It was so much fun painting this and adding a cooler color and texture to the background. I think it gave me some very Christmas-y and wintery vibes. This is one of the best properties of cold pressed watercolors that you get to play around a LOT! :)
