I am in love with light and the shadows it creates. It excites me and interests me endlessly. I don't feel like I always have to create something, but I am obsessed with capturing light as I see it.
I was having my morning coffee, using the term 'morning' quite loosely, when the sun came peeking behind the clouds and through the half open blinds, straight from my side, creating this human shape onto a side of a cabinet. I had to capture it. Every moment of light and shadow I capture is not to create a work of art, but to practise and gather knowledge and material for future work.
Good photography to me is more than anything, a realisation and revelation, and it takes a lot of practise to get there. The more you practise and see different ways of using light, the easier it will be. It doesn't matter where you'll be, you can find the light and use it, or create the light you love from scratch, emulating something you have seen previously.
I don't think I could ever get bored of light and shadows.
