It takes quite awhile establish a following. My advice would be to check out and enter contests. Join some communities that interest you. Also upvote and leave comment on other hivean's posts. If you don't have enough to upvote the post then just leave a nice comment.
I'm not a fan of really long posts as people lose interest quickly. I usually try to pick one topic and expand on it with three or four pictures with explanation about each one.
Study how do do the coding on markdown to make your posts more attractive.
