Shizumaru Hisame
He is the main character and one of the new characters in the videogame Samurai Shodown III. Although initially believed to be based on Kenshin Himura from the manga and anime series Rurouni Kenshin, the creators claim that their visual model was Kurama from the manga and anime series Yū Yū Hakusho. He is a young amnesiac child who does not remember his real name (he named himself by his sword). Because he was considered a "son of a demon" from his childhood, he lives and survives alone. Ukyo Tachibana
It is originally based on the famous real life swordsman Sasaki Kojirō, one of Miyamoto Musashi's most famous rivals. Parallel to its historical counterparts, Ukyo was Haohmaru's rival in the first video game Samurai Shodown, but this idea was abandoned with the introduction of Genjuro in the following Samurai Shodown II video game.
