He is a type of yūrei 'reborn' due to an extreme hatred that he housed before his death. In his previous life, Basara lived in peace with his lover, Kagaribi, until the demonic swordsman Zankuro arrived and killed everyone. Kibagami Genjorou
In Japanese his name has like meaning: 'The tenth Mystic son' and is a character of videogame's saga Samurai Shodown. He was introduced in Samurai Shodown II and is a rival of Haohmaru. Genjuro's design focuses on the scar on his back. The character was inspired by Makoto Shishio's design of the Rurouni Kenshin series. wikipedia
