I love your meditations. I hope Life is good, I see you are swimming and such @katharsisdrill I'm TRYING to get my art in daily, but now I've added filming to my already long list (Me and my lists!) so perhaps I'll do MANY things POORLY rather than ONE thing WELL, lol. Such is the way of a scatter-brained artist, eh?

I am exactly like you doing all kinds of things: programming, design, writing, modelling, filming you name it... There was a time when I thought about it as a weakness, now I have realised that it is just who I am. I have given up on being a mono-brain and just laugh when I think of all the energy that fizzes out the leaks in my steam engine.

But to be honest my brain has been extra scattered all over the place since January. Some of the things are resolved now, but I am still in a strange mood.

And now I also have reading glasses to confuse me even more.

Me too! I've embraced my scattered interests and thought, "Well, if you DO so many things, why can't you simply add ONE more" and thus videos. In a way making a more set video schedule has even corralled my work load a bit as I still try to 'promise' myself to get to the shooting schedule and editing for the day.

I am also SO Selfish of my quiet sit and vegetate time, that I work towards that end of the day that is like a beacon of laziness. When I've checked off the list, the tea is made, and I can sit and simply stare at the sea, or thumb through a mag or read or book or just sit... That's my 'carrot on the stick for sure'!

That krautrock must be doing strange things to your head. Have you seen the German series Dark? It is muddling my brain with all the time travel. Got one more episode to watch that I hope resolves things. I enjoyed the Norwegian Ragnarok fantasy drama. Nice twist on the old gods. Both are on Netflix.

Yes, my wife and I saw the first season of Dark, but we haven't found time to see the next seasons. I like the slow tempo, but it is a rather complex storyline.

You can judge the krautrock yourself:

Dark is dark in tone as well as in lighting. A load of messed up people.

I've listened to some krautrock bands. I quite like that some of that ambient electronic stuff. Not sure if they come under that, but a friend had an eclectic music collection with bands like Faust and Can. I think he may have had a dedicated krautrock shelf.

Yes, it is a very fascinating series, and I like the gloomy vibe. Maybe we should find some time for the next seasons.

I am not sure what to call it either. They invented it so it probably hadn't got a name yet when the LPs were released. It is a very interesting period in modern music that I only got aware of rather late. I knew some of the music allready from Popol Vuh's film soundtracks though.

Interesting drawings!
