This week i published my second artwork on Async.Art which is also my first one using autonymous functions. It is also the very first piece minted using the Async Canvas which allows for very easy creation of programmable art.
Async.Art is a platform where artist can create programmable art, consisting of layers that can be adjusted in various ways manually or automatically. the layers are NFT's on Ethereum blockchain and can be owned by different people. The changes applied to the layers are reflected on what is called the "Master" Layer.
Before the artworks had to be constructed manually and programmed by the team. but with this new tech the process is much simplified so that artists can easily upload their works. The first model uses a day and night cycle to switch between two images. The Async team is working on adding more of these preset layouts based on different variables.
With the regular method of uploading you can create art that reacts to bitcoin price for example . Currently these kind of automations have to be added manually by the team as with user adjustable layers, which takes a lot of time. So this is the first steps to scaling the programmable art to a wide base of artists. Also, previously, the changes made to layers used to take gas to operate but with this one they work without it, which is very welcome change.
Nocturnal Tide
The piece consists of drawings, both expressive portraits of some mystic creatures that are reflecting on inner experience. There is quite a long time between these works, but they are definitely in the same vein and i had been waiting to mint them as series. When this opportunity came I immediately saw them coming together into one artwork.
That is now called the Nocturnal Tide.
It changes between the images 6am and 6pm CT ( the time zone is currently set, but can be changed in the future)
