Battle for the Spectrum // New Cryptoart Minted on NFT Showroom

in #art4 years ago

Dear friends,

I've just minted my second artwork on NFTshowroom, the new #cryptoart marketplace built on the #hive chain. It's an abstract #glitch artwork, that I created at the beginning of my 2019 #dailyart challenge, that lastet for 183 days.

The interesting thing is, that the name of the artwork had been chosen by the Steemit community back in the days. Here is the announcement post and here is the winner announcement. Back then the proposal of @knowledge-seeker had won the contest and he'd received a 10 Steem bounty for this great name.

Please check NFTshowroom to grab one of the 10 editions for only 50 Hive each.

Cryptoart Rulez!

In other news, it was the first time in years, that I exchanged Eth for Hive using Blocktrades to be able to collect some awesome artworks from fellow artists.

Most remarkable I See White Silence by @stellabelle for a moderate 400 Hive.

Although I love it, I've already put it up for on the market again. I think 1500 Hive is a much more realistic price for an unique cryptoartwork with such a strong message.

Here is an overview of my current collection:

I'm also the proud owner of Entry Level NFT! by @richardfyates, The Magician by @brunonacif and "I Thought It Would Be Zombies..." - Sundown by @bryan-imhoff

What are you waiting for?

This is definitely just the beginning of the cryptoart story on Hive and I certainly will reinvest a part of my Hive sales and earnings in art. While the Ethereum based cryptoart market is currently going nuts with sales prices up to $55,000 the average cryptoartist struggles with tokenizing his art due to persistently high gas prices.

This might be a really good chance, don't miss out!

I feel behind again. But as long as I sit this far away from civilisation with an old Mac computer and children to feed and entertain I am afraid I can't get to work.... next week though

Ah, that's a pretty good alternative and definitely a reason to stay away from work! Would love to buy some of your art though. Will wait just a little longer.

Meanwhile Comic-artists like José Delbo are selling their comics at MakersPlace.

Penciler of classics such as Wonder Woman, Transformers, Billy the Kid, Beatles Yellow Submarine, and now Crypto Artist!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
I really appreciate you purchasing my White Silence art! wow, so cool, today is my lucky day!
I have FOMO really bad now about NFT Showroom!

My pleasure! I still remember the early days of cryptoart on SuperRare and the like, when people thought, it would be crazy to pay $100 for an AI artwork of Robbie Barrat or Hackatao. They go for (ten-)thousands of dollars right now. There's definitely a reason to #FOMO on the financial site, but it also always feels good to support a fellow artist and own a beautiful artwork.

I'm delighted to be part of your collection. Thank you!
I'm looking forward to the upgrades that'll allow seeing transaction histories and easily tracing the ownership of the various tokens. Once artists can see their aftermarket sales, I'm sure it'll influence how they price into the future.

I'm a huge fan of your work, so I was equally delighted to see some of your art in the #nftshowroom - Although it's already a good start, it's still a long way to go until everything is running smoothly and the secondary market is in full operation. One of the main features to implement should be artist's royalties, so that artist's participate in every secondary sale (something, that the Eth-cryptoart community fighted for and pushed through). I've sold a lot of my works for a price below market, but I'm always stoked, when I get my 10% cut of secondary-sales. Really makes a difference to the traditional art-market as well.

yes, totally agree. Artist royalties should be a high priority, since reselling is already happening.

Secondary royalties are coming and I hope soon! It's definitely one of the big advantages of selling by token over traditional methods!

Great news! Absolutely second that, royalties are a game-changer 😉

me too. I keep bugging the team about that, as it is hard to find out who has bought our art right now.

i love the Magician also, still thinking of buying that!

Nice collection! 💥

Thank you! I'm already having an eye on your works. Loving them, but need to accumulate some more $hive before I can continue collecting.

Thank you! It's truly a beautiful collection!
