Cookies made to look like Mini Food Dishes

in #art7 years ago

The internet is going wild over these creations by a Japanese mother who is an extremely talented food artist who goes by the name Masako.

All of these pictures are of edible cookies and biscuits that are amazing realistic. She usually puts her fingers in her pics to show you how small they all are becuase the mind would tend to think they are much larger - especially since you'll see these type of real dishes in Japan all the time.

She packs a lot of detail and variety in such a small space which truly amazing. These cookies are replicating the Japanese hot pot soup dishes called nabe. She has become an amazing food artist because these dishes are usually quite large.

Here is what a nabe dish typically looks like in reality. This dish is typically enjoyed mainly in the colder months with multiple family members/friend/collegues gather around a big boiling bowl grabbing different items to eat.

I'm not sure how popular these following biscuit treats would be with the kids. Anyone for sushi and tempura cookies? lol But it is extremely impressive work.

And if you are tired of Japanese mini replicated foods and you just feel like eating a burger and fries. Well this mom can dish that up too with a sandwich on the side - All cookies of course. :)

If you'd like to check out more of Masako's creations, you can find most of them on Instragram here:

They are also Twitter here: https://twitter.com/96ckt_d

The descriptions are all in Japanese but you can use Google Chrome or an online translator to read some of her comments. Translators aren't usually very clear for casual Japanese but the cookie descriptions will mostly come through. But if you have a question about some description you can't understand, please ask and I'll let you know what the artist is saying.

It reminds me of some magnets I bought when I was in Japan. Pretty amazing but I wonder if they taste any good.
