One of the places we checked out during our family trip in Ilocos Norte (Ilocandia) back in January was the Bangui Wind Farm. It was said to be a must-see based on recommended itineraries; hence, we included it on our list. We didn't realize the weather was quite unfavorable during the month until we experienced it. It was windy, and the rain came so suddenly, sometimes without any warning.
But since we were there, we thought we would make the most of it, regardless of the weather. So after the visit to the Malacañang of the North & the Chinese Garden, we drove further to the windmills. The sky was clear when we arrived at the welcome arch.

Twenty-five minutes later, the sky turned a little darker, and a rainbow showed up on the horizon. We were buying souvenirs then.

A minute after that, the raindrops started, then suddenly poured. Thankfully, my LilGuy and I stayed in the car.

We were told that if we go through the welcome arch, it will be a long way for us. So we drove back to the other shorter route. About ten minutes on the road, and we got to see more windmills and the sea. It was already late afternoon then. We had a quick stop to enjoy the scenery.

Then we hopped back into our vehicles and drove a little farther, closer to the giant windmills along the seashore.

The tide is high, and the wind is quite unbearable. The strong gust was literally pushing us it was hard to move. It felt as though it was slapping our faces and pulling our hair, haha!

Here, my niece was fighting her way to get closer to the windmills. It looked as though she was doing some Michael Jackson dance or something, lol!

My boy's fur is getting blown in various directions, as if the wind wanted to count them all, lol!

But we stayed, awed by the force and beauty of nature in that side of the world, and the ingenuity of people, harnessing its power to their advantage.
More windmills were seen on the hills, farther away from the shores.

We drove away just before 5 pm, thankful that we had the chance to be there.

We headed to a homestay a few miles away, but got past it; we had to take a turnabout. Finally found it, and the rain poured just when we were getting into its driveway. We spent a restful night there and visited the Viaduct the following day.

You should definitely go on trips like this with your family. This time is memorable because all of us get busy later in life, so holidays are special for those who enjoy them.
That is true. These road trips or family holidays are a great way to reconnect and create memories together.
Great to see some #hive visitors in my home province.
Ilocos Norte is a beautiful and historical place. Hope to visit it again someday😊
