En la actualidad, laboro como transportista turístico en la Isla de Margarita, para la cual tuve el privilegio, de prestar mis servicios a una productora de filmación de documentales, cine y televisión. Ellos me comentaron el interés de hacer un recorrido para filmar un documental, sobre las tortugas que llegan a nuestras playas, la fauna y flora de la Península de Macanao, región menos poblada de la Isla de Margarita.
Currently, I work as a tourist carrier on Margarita Island, for which I had the privilege of providing my services to a production company that films documentaries, movies and television. They told me about the interest of taking a tour to film a documentary about the turtles that arrive on our beaches, the fauna and flora of the Macanao Peninsula, the least populated region of Margarita Island.
Cabe destacar, que entre las especies de tortuga que llegan para desovar en las playas de la Isla, se encuentra; la tortuga verde (Chelonia Mydas), Cardon (Dermochelys Cariacea), Carey (Eretmochelys Imbricata) y la cabezona (Caretta, Caretta). Algunas de estas especies están calificadas en peligro de extinción, por lo que el Ministerio de Ecosocialismo, ente encargado en la protección, conservación y recuperación del ambiente en Venezuela, genera políticas, basados en la relación armónica hombre - naturaleza. Solo en espacios controlados y asignados para la exhibición del ecosistema marino, es posible obtener información verás e interactuar con estas especies. Por ende, uno de los destinos y primera parada, fue el Museo Marino, ubicado en el pueblo Boca de Río, capital del municipio Macanao, dónde el personal calificado nos brindó todo el apoyo necesario.
It should be noted that among the species of turtle that arrive to spawn on the beaches of the Island, there is; the green turtle (Chelonia Mydas), Cardon (Dermochelys Cariacea), Hawksbill (Eretmochelys Imbricata) and the loggerhead (Caretta, Caretta). Some of these species are classified as endangered, which is why the Ministry of Ecosocialism, the entity in charge of the protection, conservation and recovery of the environment in Venezuela, generates policies based on the harmonious relationship between man and nature. Only in controlled and assigned spaces for the exhibition of the marine ecosystem, it is possible to obtain information, see and interact with these species. Therefore, one of the destinations and first stop was the Marine Museum, located in the town of Boca de Río, capital of the Macanao municipality, where qualified personnel provided us with all the necessary support.
Posterior a ellos, seguimos el recorrido hacia las playas más emblemáticas de este municipio, como lo son: Punta Arena, la Pared y Robledal. Así mismo, salimos de la vía principal por caminos rurales, a través del bosque seco de ambientes áridos, dónde fue posible documentar la fauna y flora, tales como la emblemática Cotorra Margariteña y la vegetación autóctona de la zona. Ya por último, al momento de retornar, se culminó el recorrido con la espectacular vista de la puesta del sol.
After them, we continue to the most emblematic beaches of this municipality, such as: Punta Arena, La Pared and Robledal. Likewise, we left the main road along rural roads, through the dry forest of arid environments, where it was possible to document the fauna and flora, such as the emblematic Margariteña Parrot and the native vegetation of the area. Finally, when returning, the tour ended with the spectacular view of the sunset.
