HELLO DEAR FRIENDS OF HIVE

Today we celebrate FATHER'S DAY! We were invited to share at the grandparents' house, and to enjoy a traditional fish soup. Our families some time ago did not see each other so it has been like a kind of reunion between uncles and nephews. We are not used to holding large celebrations, but if sharing a meal makes us more united at this time.
When we arrived they had already advanced the preparation of the food, which is nothing more than a simple and delicious fish soup with vegetables. And cooked on firewood is the most traditional, that is, it is prepared outside or in the backyard of the houses, in this case the grandparents' house.
After a few minutes of boiling the hardest vegetables, all that remained was to add some basic ingredients to any soup: auyama, dressings and fish, added step by step for proper cooking..
While the family arrives and we catch up, the food cooks behind us.
In a matter of minutes the food is ready, get off the heat and rest for a few minutes. In this eastern part of the country it is common to prepare this fish soup, in this case BAGRE, a white meat fish that does not need further preparation. You can prepare this soup with any fish.
After a delicious family meal, it is common for my daughters to want to enjoy everything they find at the grandparents' house, such as getting into the chicken coop and running around the chickens, collecting their eggs and trying to catch them. It is the most fun to see them playing with these animals.
And when evening falls it is time for the parents to draw the cards and sit down to play some board game. In Venezuela nothing more traditional than "El Truco", it is a fun card game but for some people it can be complicated, so it is generally men who play it, since they usually bet.
Family celebrations will always be remembered, that is why every holiday we try to get together and maintain some family traditions, for example meals and games, which many of these our grandparents taught us.
