In Venezuela, the growing accumulated inflation that already oscillates 2.000% at the end of 2017, the high costs of basic products in the country, the scarcity of food and medicines, the devaluation of the Bolívar with respect to the Dollar, as well as the shortage of money in cash, it has produced that people want to protect themselves in bitcoins to protect themselves from hyperinflon that suffocates them.
Then, many are acquiring machines abroad and others less affluent, adapt their computers. They reserve a room or even sheds, with air conditioning and machines, to dedicate themselves to the business of bitcoin mining.
This activity is carried out clandestinely, it is not regulated, but the government has classified it as a foreign exchange crime or money laundering (false charges). Then, the police have been persecuting those who practice this activity, if they find the machines, stop the owners or extort them. They find the places by the drastic change in the invoicing of the electrical consumption, they accuse the people of power theft, although they pay their bills. In fact, this has been another excuse for the government to justify the constant blackouts in the country: the bitcoin miners are collapsing the electricity system.
On the other hand, as this business is so profitable, bitcoin miners are exposed to being robbed and kidnapped, since lately the levels of this type of crimes have increased notably and the main target are people with financial fluidity.
Also, the Venezuelan is accustomed to "easy money", so that many are leaving their jobs, whose income does not represent anything compared to income with the mining of the cryptocurrency, even when this only generates $ 15 monthly through a simple computer.
In other words, the miners have economic fluidity but do not have peace because of the constant danger to which they are exposed daily in Venezuela.
Enjoy the vote and reward!
Thank you so much, God bless you. Hugs.
