I'm posting this article honestly as a workaround. I started a special tutorial thread for cryptocurrency newbies on the Bitcoin Forum. Part of what I recommend is to get a Coinbase wallet. I shared my Coinbase affiliate link, and the forum moderators removed it along with any other affiliate links I'd shared.
I honestly don't care too much about the other affiliate links, but I do care about the Coinbase link because using it to register your account will give both you and me $10 worth of Bitcoin whenever you make your first BTC buy or sell. For this reason I want to make sure everyone reading my thread has a chance to use my Coinbase referral link to register their account if they so desire.
