Blockchain in politics

September 2019 I hosted a conference in Luxembourg on this theme. I wrote about it on
steem, in French.
Here I want to illustrate one of the many possible uses of blockchains in politics by publishing my candidature to a renewed mandate in the Committee of the CSV International.

Why is this important ?

First of all, candidatures should be sent by a certain date. By publishing on the blockchain BEFORE that deadline, one can prove that it complied with said deadline - the candidature could have been made earlier than the blockchain post, but obviously not later.

Second, the candidate makes an open commitment and can be held accountable, if elected, with respect to what she promised in the candidature.

Thus blockchain can increase transparency and accountability in politics.

Sort:

blockchain can increase transparency and accountability in politics.

Blockchain will disturb politics in a very big way

Not sure I understand the utility of this @poshbot ... Would its author care to explain what is its purpose?

Ok, thanks. Next challenge: do a bot that makes all the Twittersphere actually READ and UNDERSTAND and fall in love with Hive! :-D
Frankly, I am appalled by how little people understand how steem and hive represent a LEAP of progress as blockchains go, compared to all the tokens and "me too" blockchains aping bitcoin and ethereum ...

Just mute poshbot if you don't want to see it
