Five different insects

Hello Hive Community!

In this Post I would like to show you some pictures of insects (Insecta) that I have taken. Scientifically over 1.000.000 different insects are known, but the gray numbers are much higher. I hope you enjoy it.

Butterfly:

This butterfly is called Peacock (Aglais io). It is a very beautiful insect and plays a role in Greek and Roman mythology. The main food source of butterflies are flowers.

Caterpillar:

Here you can see a caterpillar nicknamed Moon bird, the scientific name is phalera bucephala. A moth will later hatch from this caterpillar.

Bee:

The bee (Anthophila) is probably known to everyone worldwide. Here you can see this miracle of nature collecting its food. Our bees are threatened with extinction and it is important to protect them.

Caterpillar:

In the following photo you can see another caterpillar called Ruby tiger (Phragmatobia fuliginosa). A moth will also emerge from this caterpillar.

Bumblebee

In the last picture you can see a bumblebee sitting on a dandelion plant to collect food. Bumblebees are very important animals for pollination of plants and are under nature protection.
