Yet another month is gone, but another also begins. Time to celebrate #HivePowerUpDay and take a look at what I accomplished over the last few weeks! Remember to stake some HIVE today and you might even get a badge from @hivebuzz if you stake at least 10 Hive Power. Just remember the deadline is based on UTC and not your local time!

Last month, I started drawing down my delegations and focusing more on manual curation. I also wrote more than I had been averaging for a while. Many of these are library-related anecdotes instead of gloom-and-doom politics.
- August Retrospective and September Plans, the previous installment in my monthly routine. I only had nine posts then.
- The HIVE Tug of War, adding my own 2¢ to the discussion about good content, rewards, and blockchain netiquette.
- Rest In Peace, Paul. A memorial post to a great content creator I deeply respect.
- Proving Yourself Human, a look at a proposal to verify humanity in an effort to combat A.I.
- Arrogant Bastard Ale: An Amateurish Beer Re-Review, where I tried a beer I hadn't had in a long time to see whether my old opinions still held. I still like it.
- Cool Creator Spotlight: Adam the Machinist, a great channel about the practical aspects of manufacturing and design from a machinist's perspective.
- Library Perplexity, because yes, you do need your library card to borrow from the library. Why is this such a difficult concept?
- The Collections Agent, or, "One is a curio, two is a coincidence, three is a collection."
- Constitution, Shmonstitution, a critical look at Constitution Day, and promises versus the reality of a Constitutional Republic. Yes, I quoted Spooner.
- Happy Talk Like a Pirate Day! At least this is a real holiday I can appreciate!
- Crayon Catastrophe, or, how an unsupervised toddler is the fastest thing in the universe.
- The End of an Era, acknowledging the last episode of the Grand Tour.
- Are the Old Folks Out of Touch? Yes, and I do have some gloom-and-doom data to back this up.
- Library Odd Jobs: Tattoos and Calipers, a story about one of the many unexpected library tasks which land on my desk.
- Knife Review: Leatherman Free T2, what it says on the tin.
That looks like fifteen posts last month, or a post every other day on average. I should comment on other posts more often. We'll see what October brings.
Speaking of October, what do you want to see me post? I have a couple ideas for Cool Creator Spotlight posts, another Library Odd Job that may go live tomorrow, and plenty of opinions about the state of affairs in the US and worldwide. I also have a lot of fall projects which might take time away from writing, so I don't know whether I will maintain September's rate of content creation.
Engagement challenge: snap a cute photo of a pet—yours, a neighbor's, a friend's, just make it your photo—and share it in the comments. Upvote such photos if someone has already joined the challenge. Let's see who actually reads my drivel instead of using bots and trails!
I'm off to photograph my dog!
Edit: Not too cute I know, but it's very difficult to get Devil Dog to pose.
Well, snapshot or not, it gets you bumped up to a higher vote %!
Hahaha, Thanks! I wasn't begging. Honest.
I missed your tug of war post, well said!
