In today's weed news we talk about treating skin diseases with cannabis extracts.
American scientists have started a clinical trial to determine whether a compound found in cannabis can help suffers of eczema and psoriasis.
Researchers at the University of Colorado believe that cannabidiol commonly referred to as CBD, a non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in medicinal marijuana strains could offer a new way to treat skin diseases.
Cannabidiol is a powerful anti-inflammatory compound and has been signed off on by the World Health Organization who sees it as safe and very beneficial.
InsideScience reports that a team of researchers headed by Dr. Robert Dellavalle are currently conducting experiments on 40 patients with seborrheic dermatitis, and Dr. Dellavalle hopes that CBD could become an alternative for people who topical steroids are not working for, or who are against steroids. I can't wait to see the official results of this study when they are published.
