Attacking and blocking by the character in eight directions

I modeled a shield, an axe and made new sprites for the animation of rest and walking. I also created new attack and block animations.

Now the character's brain can do 4 actions. Standing, walking, attacking and blocking.

For further work, I brought out the inscription of states. This will help in the next step when I'm working on the combat system.

Next, I plan to add an enemy and for the first time I will try to write artificial intelligence. The enemy will be the wolf. He will lunges to attack and then retreat, moving around the character.

Good luck with the AI stuff, I'm watching @ibt-survival playing around with AI stuff (they don't specifically say what they're doing as the guy that writes the posts is not the same as the one doing the coding) and it seems to be tricky O_O

I am now working on the first enemy and have already started writing the first AI code, it will be more interesting further, stay in touch ;) I will also share very good links!

Interesting thing! In childhood I've been into programming and we together with my friends once done a game in Visual Basic about two helicopters fight. It was multiplayer game played on one same computer using same keyboard.

By the way, there is a typo: axe in your post as ax
