Sigo participando en el Blogging Challenge, un conjunto de preguntas que hará que seamos mejor conocidos en la plataforma y así también conocer nosotros a las demás personas a partir de lo que han vivido, sus sueños, anhelos y como en este caso La cita favorita que cada uno tiene.
Que no decida otro cómo debes ser tú
Esta cita la leí hace años en un libro de Pérez Esclarín, la frase venía luego de la presentación de una parábola. Se trataba de dos amigos que van caminando y uno de ellos decide comprar el periódico en un Kiosko en la calle, el vendedor lo atiende de forma déspota, pero él igual le compra el diario. Cuando se retiran el amigo le pregunta que por qué le sigue comprando si el hombre lo trata de manera tan desagradable y él le responde: "porque no quiero que él decida cómo debo ser yo".
Me encanta esta cita porque cada uno de nosotros cuenta con su manera de ser, aprendida por la educación y formación recibida y muchas veces intentamos cambiar porque consideramos como amenazas lo externo. Pero cuando decimos: "que no decida otro cómo debo ser yo" y nuestra actuación obedece a patrones morales, espirituales y éticos concebidos con base a nuestros principios, no debemos permitir que nada nos lo altere.

Let someone else decide how you should be
I read this quote years ago in a book by Pérez Esclarín, the phrase came after the presentation of a parable. It was about two friends who are walking and one of them decides to buy the newspaper in a kiosk on the street, the seller serves him in a despotic way, but he still buys the newspaper. When they leave, the friend asks him why he keeps buying from him if the man treats him so unpleasantly and he replies: "because I don't want him to decide how I should be."
I love this quote because each of us has our own way of being, learned through the education and training received and many times we try to change because we consider the external as threats. But when we say: "let someone else decide how I should be" and our actions follow moral, spiritual and ethical standards conceived on the basis of our principles, we must not allow anything to alter us.

Estoy de acuerdo contigo, no podemos dejar que otro decida lo que vamos a hacer ni lo que tenemos que hacer... al final de cuentas a la gente le encanta opinar, y lo va a hacer hagas lo que ellos quieren o lo que no quieren... así que es mejor hacer las cosas por interés propio.
