We're looking for ways to allow people to start using STEEMHOUSE tokens leading up to the opening of our physical makerspace, and we'd love to hear some ideas from the public!

We've always said that for the most part, our space will be what our members want it to be,
and in that same spirit, we will always be open to feedback and suggestions from the community at large. The Steem Blockchain is an incredible fountain of resources, and there are tons of things we could be offering in exchange for our tokens. We've come up with a couple ideas, but would love to hear more about what everyone who follows us thinks.
It's been suggested that we should seek out or rent a delegation of SteemPower so that we can trade tokens for upvotes, but this is something we'd like to stay away from. Delegated SP is not in our business model, and probably won't be. We could offer something of an "advertisement" service where we Resteem posts that meet certain niche requirements, but that's something we'd have to work out a few details on before moving forward with.
Raffles are coming!
One of the easiest things we could implement is a regular raffle, where people can exchange their STEEMHOUSE tokens for tickets into drawings for all sorts of things! Some of the prizes would be digital, like custom blog graphics from talented freelancers, SteemPower, or anything else. Some of those prizes, though, will be shipped to lucky Steemians who win the draw!
We plan to start getting in contact with creatives from all over the Blockchain who already sell and ship things for STEEM/SBD. We will pay up-front for something, and would then sell raffle tickets to see who will receive the item. This falls in line with the sort of thing we will be doing inside our space, with the 'Maker Mall' online store we'll be building. We'll be writing up a post about this endeavor very soon, so follow @thesteemhouse to keep in the loop!

I have a couple ideas. You could offer shares of SBI (Steem Basic Income), it offers a lifetime of upvotes, as long as you stay active on Steem. An added bonus is each time you give one away, you get one too, which would strengthen @thesteemhouse account. Another option would be a Zidisha giftcard. Zidisha offers microlending to entrepreneurs in developing countries. With a gift card you can select which entrepreneur's projects you want to lend to. For seeking out things to sell. I recommend to looking in the IFC group, Informationfindingchampionship. They have formed a marketplace.
How about some sort of blind auction.
7 days of bids where you can bid with your steem house tokens to buy a mystery amount of various different rewards. Theses rewards could SBD,STEEM,WHALESHARES, TROPHY TOKENS,PB ETC Or a mixture. You would need to find away of generating random amounts into each reward pool. Some pools could have lots but some polls could have not very much. But that’s the chance people take.
Think of a storage wars but steemit style

I would love to see some physical as wel. But not really on the blockchain, but out in the 'great wide world'. So there also more people might be interested in the whole blockchain provides house situation.
I dont know, a banner in a cafe which using crypto as legal payment? Something like that?
We're thinking more along the lines of something we can offer people for trading in tokens.
Trade in tokens for physical goods that are produced at the Steemhouse, with the tokens going to the creator, thus giving them ownership in their own makerspace.
The Maker Mall that we create will indeed be a way for the creatives within our physical space to earn money, when that physical space comes to be, but we're looking for things we could allow people to use their tokens for before we get our space open.
Maybe you guys can make steem shirt, waist band and co and tell the public about it and the importance. While using the STEEMHOUSE TOKENS as a medium of exchange for the goods.
That's something we definitely have planned for when we open our makerspace!
How about a STEM Trivia where you use your Steem House tokens to tokens to take part in. The trivia can be around STEM or something else in the sphere of The Steem House.
Users enter using a small number of tokens and win a percentage of tokens in the pool if answer is correct.
I know it's sounds similar to a raffle but it can also generate interest around the trivia topics.
That's a very unique thing to offer! We may just have to consider something along those lines!
