"The age of automation is going to be the age of "do it yourself". --- Marshall McLuhan
The majority of us who are into DIY projects and crafts already know the benefits and feel-good that comes with it. Getting to do something productive with your hands is a topnotch feeling. That being said, are you aware that these projects foster and cultivate young minds?
Below are three (3) valid benefits of DIY projects.
- Physical exertion
As kids, we crave to go outside and have some fun with our playmates. Building a castle with sand, and other physical activities that let them use their energy. This helps them learn new skills and also socialize.
The physical prospect of DIY makes a great addition to any exercise routine or series of drills.
- Troubleshooting skills
If you're a dedicated DIY-er, it's safe to say you can handle almost anything thrown at you. In the future, DIY-ers will be addressed as problem-solving individuals. This statement is true because it takes a lot of creativity and vision to create something from scratch to perfection, building or fixing a cause.
Truth be told, the DIY space is exploding day by day, people are now DIY'ing Moore than ever. According to Technavio, the DIY space is expected to be worth north $13.9 billion by 2021.
